Molekulinė evoliucija. Genomų evoliucija.
Lecture, Vilnius University, 2023
A series of five lectures for BSc students for the genome evolution section of a molecular evolution course in 2023. The first lecture covers some extended topics in molecular evolution (nearly neutral theory of evolution, hitchhiking effects, transposons, etc.). The second lecture covers the evolution of eukaryotic genomes. The third lecture explains the evolution of RNA viruses and their genomes. The fourth lecture describes the evolution of bacterial (and phage) genomes. The fifth lecture is an overview of eukaryotic sex chromosome evolution.
